Tell me about your career journey and how you ended up at Capgemini.

I received a call from Susan O’Brien. She was looking for a recruiter with supply chain/procurement expertise. I was a supply chain recruiter for a few years prior to joining. I had already committed to a new contract at another company and couldn’t back out of my commitment. A few months later, she called me again and said, “last and final offer.” The timing was perfect, and I made the jump. I started in 2010 as a contractor and converted to full time in 2016.

What is your current role and what does a day in your life look like?

I am currently the Cloud Infrastructure Managed Services Recruiting Manager. I am assigned open needs in the managed services organization. I work to get them filled as quickly as possible to avoid losing revenue. I identify candidates, screen them, schedule interviews, negotiate salaries, and complete all the pre-hire requirements to onboard the new hire.

What’s been your biggest achievement at Capgemini so far?

Two come to mind. The first one is that in January 2025 I hired my thousandth person at Capgemini! And the second one is that I am the Partnership Lead for the OCEAN ERG. In 2024, I worked with Mentoring Matters and Women@Capgemini ERGs on this initiative. Together, we started Capgemini’s first Toastmasters Club. Toastmasters is a 100-year-old public speaking organization that helps people improve their confidence in public speaking and storytelling. Our club was recently recognized as “Presidents Distinguished” by the Toastmasters Organization!

What things do you do outside your everyday job to stay engaged at Capgemini?

Besides my activities with the OCEAN ERG, I also help with the Sustainability Cookbook and Earth Day. In 2024 & 2025, I was one of the leads for the Chicago Earth Day and Cares Day events

For over 40 months, I published the Recruitment Newsletter.  We stopped publication as we now post our openings on THE DAILY, one of our communications platforms at Capgemini. Getting engaged is a great way to meet wonderful people in our organization that you would not otherwise meet. It makes me proud to know that we have so many outstanding, smart, driven employees.

How is Capgemini helping you get the future you want?

Capgemini is helping me to get the future I want by letting me do what I’m really good at and not putting me in a box.

I’ve seen that done at other organizations where they take recruitment and everybody thinks it’s so simple, they think that it can be done easily with AI, but you need the human element to make that happen, and I love the fact that Capgemini gives our recruitment team the freedom and flexibility to do that and recruit like that.

Why do you think Capgemini can be a good place for someone wanting to grow their career?

If they enjoy the information technology world and they enjoy client facing and they enjoy growing and changing and learning, then there is no other organization that does it better than us. We succeed so much in that space.
