Unlocking Sustainability through Play: Capgemini’s Eco-Escape game 2025

At Capgemini, we believe that sustainability starts with awareness, collaboration, and action. On July 2^nd 2025, our Diegem office hosted the CSR Eco-Escape Game 2025, a unique and engaging event that brought colleagues together to explore environmental challenges through a gamified experience. 

Organized by our dedicated CSR Community, the event transformed learning into adventure. Teams navigated through four interactive stations—each highlighting key sustainability themes such as overconsumption, energy use, and Capgemini’s own sustainability journey. Teams of four worked together to solve puzzles and complete tasks within a set time, “escaping” from one room to the next, each representing a different dimension impacting our planet. The final message, “It’s up to you!”, served as a powerful reminder of the role each of us plays in shaping a better future. 

With 20 participants, the event blended fun, learning, and teamwork. Beyond the puzzles and excitement, the event fostered collaboration, sparked meaningful conversations, and left participants with practical insights to apply in their daily lives. It’s a testament to how we, as an employer, prioritize sustainability not just in strategy, but in culture.

We’re proud to create spaces where learning is dynamic, values are lived, and our people feel empowered to make a difference.

Here’s what stood out:

• Stronger connections & collaboration: Colleagues teamed up and appreciated the collaboration across departments, building new bonds and strengthening cross-team connections.
• Real takeaways: Everyone walked away with small, actionable ideas on how to be more mindful of sustainability in both their daily work and personal lives.
• Positive ambience: The event established that learning about serious topics can be fun and engaging too!
