Why and when burning hydrogen in internal combustion engines is a smart and affordable option for reducing Co2 emissions

Transporting people and goods accounts for nearly 20% of the world’s CO2 emissions. Electrical vehicles and (EVs) fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) are promising solutions to our carbon challenge, but won’t be enough on their own to help us reach our environmental targets. Repurposing internal combustion engines (ICEs) for hydrogen is a less well known (but extremely promising) approach that is already yielding results.

Our new report will discuss the opportunities that hydrogen internal combustion engines (HICEs) present, and the engineering challenges that must first be overcome.
