Capgemini and the World Economic Forum have partnered to co-lead the Forum’s Digital Healthcare Transformation (DHT) Initiative, a groundbreaking effort to reshape global healthcare systems. This initiative leverages the potential of AI, health data, and digital technologies to improve patient outcomes, increase healthcare accessibility, and enhance systemic efficiency.  

Together, we are fostering public-private partnerships to scale digital health solutions, unlock the value of health data, and drive innovations that address critical global health challenges.

In the midst of growing technological convergence, where hybrid AI meets R&D and design meets data, we believe intelligent collaboration will deliver true impact and value for all.

The DHT  Initiative represents a commitment to advancing a collaborative, data-driven approach to healthcare. By addressing systemic barriers, fostering trust, and encouraging collaboration, the initiative aims to enable stakeholders to harness the power of health data for actionable insights and transformative solutions. 

Acting as a global platform, the DHT Initiative has convened more than 150 organizations from sectors including medtech, pharmaceuticals, academia, government, multilateral organizations, healthcare providers and payers.  

This diverse community is united by the shared goal of improving health outcomes, accessibility and efficiency through transformative data usage. Insights from various meetings over the past year have provided an initial blueprint for advancing global health data collaboration

Since January 2023, Thorsten has been the Executive Vice President and Global Industry Lead for Life Sciences at Capgemini. Previously, he worked at Novartis in various senior roles. As Senior Vice President of Digital Transformation & Innovation, he led the digital function, developed and implemented high-risk, high-return strategic innovation initiatives, and was responsible for Business Development and partnerships in the digital space.
