Capgemini Belgium and OutSystems organize first Low Code Event

Publish date:

Capgemini Belgium organized its first ever event on Low Code on November 20th, 2019 at Van Der Valk hotel in Brussels. Gartner considers Low Code as a milestone in application development and says, “By 2024, low-code application development will be responsible for more than 65% of application development activity.”

An information-packed evening was organized in collaboration with partners OutSystems to understand how Low Code can drive the digital business. The event hosted an insightful presentation followed by a panel discussion that highlighted the diverse aspects of the platform. A live demo showcased how one can build fully integrated, multi-platform and enterprise-grade applications at the speed of light. Over 40 participants actively engaged with the panel and were introduced into the world of Low Code.

What is Low Code?

Low code is a visual development approach to application development that enables professional and non-professional developers to collaborate, rapidly build and deploy applications. Application development can be 4 to 5 times faster than the current processes reducing the time-to-market significantly. This can deliver a competitive edge to everybody involved. With widespread interest, it is important to develop leadership capabilities and leverage the first-mover advantage through such events.

Inspiring Customers

The interest has been immense and there have been customer callbacks to connect with OutSystems. “The Capgemini Belgium and OutSystems Low code event satiated the curiosity about the latest developments in the arena of application development. The event reminds me of a tourist who explores an unknown city. You may have read all the brochures but you can never know for sure what to expect. With this Low code event, one gets the first taste of this amazing technology and everybody becomes inspired to explore further,” says an enthusiastic participant

With more prospects in the pipeline, Capgemini Belgium is poised to be a leader in the Low Code platform. We are early adopters and it is important to keep up the pace within this market.
