Kompis Sverige

Capgemini has partnered with Kompis Sverige, a non-profit organization aiming to connect new Swedes with established Swedes through friendships and meetings. This partnership aims to break down barriers for a more inclusive society.

The partnership includes the buddy program, where Kompis Sverige matches a new Swede with an established Swede on factors such as age, gender, interests, language level and professional background.

Further recognizing the importance of digital skills in today’s society, the collaboration also includes an initiative focused on digital inclusion. Together, we conduct workshops to empower newcomers with essential digital skills for navigating life in Sweden.

Together with Kompis Sverige we have during 2024 hold lectures and workshops in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö to reduce digital barriers and break digital exclusion.

We have trained new Swedes in everything related to digital everyday life in Sweden. We have talked about social media, BankID and Swish, online care, source criticism, AI, fraud and much more.

Software Engineer – Pillar Head Digital Inclusion
Digital inclusion is about ensuring that everyone has access to the opportunities technology offers. Growing up as a tech-interested young girl, I didn’t learn to code until university, so I understand what it’s like to lack resources or opportunities. Bridging the digital divide is essential for empowering people in both their personal and professional lives. Today, I work as a software engineer — a job I once dreamed of having — and I am passionate about helping provide the resources and opportunities I needed on my own journey.
