Capgemini is recognized for its commitment to diversity

13 Dec 2017

Paris, December 13 2017 – Capgemini has been recognized as one of the ten best ‘Diversity Recruiters’ by the Mozaïk Foundation at a ceremony held on 27 November at the French Ministry for the Economy and Finance. Receiving an award in the ‘Corporations & Medium-sized Businesses’ category, Capgemini was singled out for its involvement with the Grande Ecole du Numérique, the French digital technology university.

On 3 October 2016, Capgemini signed a partnership agreement with the Grande Ecole du Numérique (GEN), making it one of the university’s first private partners. As part of this collaboration, Capgemini set itself the target of recruiting 200 to 250 of its recently graduated employees from GEN. Some of the students in ‘Grande Ecole du Numérique’ certified courses are not graduates and have a variety of backgrounds (most often scientist backgrounds). Capgemini’s aim is to open up its recruitment process to people from even more diverse backgrounds, in order to meet ambitious employment targets – around 4,000 new employees in France for the whole of 2017 – whilst promoting professional integration.

For Saïd Hammouche, Chairman of the Mozaïk Foundation Executive Board: “This Prize has one goal: to inspire all companies by highlighting those that have, before others, understood the benefit of opening their recruitment processes to people from new backgrounds. In this context, I am especially happy that a company such as Capgemini, which is one of the main executive recruiters in France, is paving the way for new practices.”

Hubert Giraud, Head of People Management and Transformation and a member of the Group Executive Board at Capgemini said: “With this Prize, we are delighted to show that it is possible to develop recruitment practices to promote diversity. Programs certified with the “Grande Ecole du Numérique” offer a real gateway to employment for those who have a flair for science or digital technology. In this respect, we are proud to open up an alternative route within the digital industry: diversity is efficiency!“.
