You will get the names of all content types on the top of the screen and you may select the content type whose URI you want to modify.

Note: It shows a red caution in case the URI has already been used

Tools:
  • Permalink Duplicates – This feature shows a complete list of all URI and permalink that is already been used and needs an edit
  • Find and Replace: You can always find the post/page based on the custom URI or slug and replace the content on the path which can help in bulk changes
  • Regenerate/reset: This helps to regenerate URIs based on the permastructures (we will explain this in the next setting) of the specific content types. You may select the checkbox and regenerate the URI in one go.
Permastructures:

Here you can provide a structure to the URI/path for the whole content type at once. The exemplary events page will have URI as news/events/%event% where “%” denotes customisation according to the title of the page.

General settings:
  • URI Update Mode: Permalink Manager can automatically update the custom permalink after the post or term is saved/updated.
  • Slugs Mode: Permalink Manager can use either native slugs or actual titles for custom permalinks. The native slug is generated from the initial title after the post or term is published.
  • Trailing Slashes: You can use this feature to either add or remove the slashes from the end of WordPress permalinks.
  • Exclude Content Types: You can check the content types that are not supposed to be added in the general settings
  • Exclude Drafts: If enabled, the custom permalinks for post drafts will not be saved
