Capgemini Media redirect

What is the purpose of Capgemini Media Redirect?

This new feature enables you to update/change any media resource e.g. photo, pdf, podcast, or video with the existing URL. In the simplest language, the URL will remain as is, just the media resource will be updated/changed.

You can change a number of media resources in one per sae around 20 resources can be changed using one CSV.

  • Open the resource which you want to replace with the new one and copy the URL after “upload”
  • Create an excel with two headings namely “Origin” and “Target”
  • Copy the highlighted URL in the “Origin” section and the desired URL in the “Target” section

  • Open the backend and find “Tools”, While hovering on Tools you will find the “Capgemini Media Redirect”

  • After opening the menu, you will find the “Upload CSV” option wherein you would have to upload the excel file made with the format above
  • Once uploaded there will be an output which will help you with the status of the upload
  • Refresh and check the desired media resource, you will find the new resource with the same URL

  • Please use the excel file with proper headers
  • The format of the excel must be CSV
  • Either origin or target is left blank the file will be skipped
  • Be sure that you redirect not more than 20 items in one go
  • Do replace pdfs with pdfs, .png with .png and .mov files with .mov only
  • Once the redirection is successful, the original media will be permanently deleted
