Capgemini selected by Skånetrafiken to manage and develop its online portals

New agreement will provide better digital services to the citizens in Skåne

On 15 September, Skånetrafiken signed an agreement with Capgemini on the management and further development of all its portals, My Account and skanetrafiken.se.

Most of Skånetrafiken’s customers have visited skanetrafiken.se to apply for a trip, buy a ticket or log in to My account. Others visit the website to log in to the business service. Or they travel with a school ticket or senior ticket that is administered in the School Portal and the Senior Portal, respectively. Capgemini will both manage and further develop all of these parts from 15 September 2020, when the new agreement takes effect.

“With this agreement, we ensure that our services will continue to be developed based on our customers’ needs. In addition, we get synergy effects when all parts are included in one agreement. Now we get the opportunity to review the whole and create more value for our customers thanks to the fact that we have one and the same supplier to work with,” says Carl Järsberg, unit manager service development at Digitalisation and IT at Skånetrafiken.

This agreement, with the possibility of extensions over several years, enables a really good and long-term collaboration. The agreement extends over two years and can then be extended at most three times, which gives a maximum contract period of eight years. The total value of the agreement is approximately SEK 128 million.

The agreement also contains a service agreement for emergency preparedness.

In the choice of supplier, Skånetrafiken applied the best relationship between price and a number of quality criteria.

Facts about Skånetrafiken’s websites and portals:-

  • In August 2020, skanetrafiken.se was visited 770,000 times.
  • There are a total of 6236 user accounts registered in our business service.
  • Skånetrafiken’s My account has approximately 665,000 registered users who, for example, can administer their travel cards, get a lost guarantee or take advantage of offers.
  • Through the school portal, 50,000 school tickets were sent out before the start of the semester in August.
  • With the Senior Portal, 131,000 seniors are reached in 17 Scanian municipalities that have introduced the senior ticket.
  • A total of 36,000 people with travel services are reached through the Service Travel Portal.
