“At Capgemini you have the autonomy to approach your work in the way you think best.”

I hold a Master’s Degree in Business and Economics and initially worked as a Business Controller before transitioning into consulting and ERP systems. This shift led me into the IT and Tech field, a path I have enjoyed and continued to pursue.

What made you join Capgemini?

I was already familiar with Capgemini, but it was the positive feedback from former colleagues who worked there that influenced my decision. They spoke highly of the company’s culture, which ultimately convinced me to join.

Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

I specialize in large global ERP implementation projects, often serving as a Solution Architect. In this role, I oversee the overall solution and ensure cohesion between different project streams. This demands responsiveness, a problem-solving mindset, and flexibility. My daily activities vary greatly depending on the project phase, making my work both challenging and exciting. The unpredictable nature of the tasks means I’m constantly learning and developing new skills, which I find incredibly fulfilling.

What makes you passionate about your work?

My passion stems from two main aspects of my role. Initially, I thrive on meeting new people and learning about their businesses, which energizes me. Later in the project, I enjoy collaborating with clients and colleagues to shape and implement improved processes that have a lasting impact.

What characterizes the people and culture at Capgemini?

Despite being a large company, Capgemini maintains a very open culture. Trust is a cornerstone, and employees are valued over the company itself. You have the autonomy to approach your work in the way you think best. There’s a strong drive among employees, not only to fulfill customer assignments but also to pursue personal initiatives in areas like sports, innovation, and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

What is your best advice for a student who dreams of starting a career at Capgemini?

Apply for our trainee program IgnITe early on; it provides an excellent foundation for your career at Capgemini. However, if you miss the opportunity or don’t get in, it’s never too late to join. When I graduated, I was late in applying and found that there weren’t suitable positions for me at that time. Yet, with more experience, I eventually found my way to Capgemini. The key is to stay ambitious, keep developing, and pursue your interests—you’ll reach your goals.
