“The best thing about Capgemini, in my view, is the variety and depth of opportunities, and that personal development is encouraged.”

I started my career in software development over 20 years ago, and it’s still what I enjoy the most. While my background is in the Microsoft platform, I’ve primarily worked with Salesforce in recent years. Being a senior consultant allows me to take on a variety of projects, which often feels like changing jobs. It gives me the opportunity to explore different sectors, industries, and IT systems. Solving complex integration challenges and getting systems to communicate effectively is what drives me professionally.

As a former elite athlete, I can relate parts of my everyday work to that experience – especially when it comes to the demands for skill, precision, focus, strategy, and continuous improvement. Collaboration and communication are also key in my job, to deliver great results in everyday work.

What made you decide to apply to and join Capgemini?

I joined Capgemini more than 20 years ago to work on diverse and challenging projects. The consultant role appealed to me because it offers variety – each project feels like a new job – allowing you to explore different sectors, industries, and IT systems while solving complex integration challenges.

How does your work challenge you?

My work challenges me by demanding both technical depth and the ability to see the bigger picture. Every solution I build must work in practice, integrate with other systems, and adapt to different needs. This pushes me to think creatively, solve complex problems, and continuously learn. It’s the variety and complexity that make my job exciting and meaningful.

How are you working towards the future you want?

I enjoy working with technology and following how it evolves, and I hope to continue doing so in the future. As a Senior Consultant, I actively seek out tasks that are challenging and allow me to learn new things, preferably within the latest technologies. With Salesforce as a platform, I get to cultivate both system development and architecture, gaining the experience and expertise I need to shape my own path forward.

How do you notice Capgemini’s efforts to create an inclusive environment?

At Capgemini, inclusion is not just a value – it’s part of the culture. Every day we experience team spirit and psychological safety, where colleagues support each other, share knowledge, and collaborate across projects.

We have our social events that foster connection and belonging across roles and backgrounds. And all my colleagues are welcomed into a vibrant and respectful environment.

What is the best thing about Capgemini?

The best thing about Capgemini, in my view, is the variety and depth of opportunities, and that personal development is encouraged.

Collaboration and knowledge sharing are also deeply rooted in the culture, but the competitive spirit also gets its moment – especially when we compete in the popular and lighthearted multi-event challenge (Mangekampen in norwegian).

It creates a great balance between professional teamwork and playful engagement.
