Administration support

“If you want an inclusive work environment with the opportunity to work on exciting projects and for interesting clients – both in the private and public sector, Capgemini is the place for you!”

I joined Capgemini in January 2023 as “Office manager/Business support”. Prior to this job I worked within a tech company for 2 years. I also have a lot of experience within retail.
From working in a bar to studying project management to working with children – I can proudly say I have tried a lot of different career opportunities, but now it seems like I have found my perfect role.

What made you decide to apply to and join Capgemini?

The office in Trondheim were looking for a person to support all the consultants with day-to-day tasks. I had a great interview with the regional manager and a few of the other employees here and I loved the atmosphere at the office. It was just a perfect match for the next step in my career, and I remember I was very excited about the opportunities within the company if you work hard and simply say yes to people around you.

Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

The great thing about my role is that every day is different from the other. This might sound like a cliché, but in my case it’s true! One day I could be “Onboarding” new joiners, the next day I’m helping a consultant in Oslo to get a new phone. Then I could wrap up the week by fixing practical stuff for a student event in the office.

All this at the same time while I make sure the office in Trondheim is in the best shape possible for our fantastic consultants. Fixing refreshments, lunch, fruit, and making sure we have all the technical stuff up and running for business meetings.

What characterizes the people and culture at Capgemini?

The greatest thing I can say about the people working in Capgemini is that we look after each other. From sharing knowledge to a simple smile when we greet each other at the office. It is also a culture where people say “Yes”. It could be anything from helping out with your resume, ordering something in our service portal or listening to a presentation.

It is a culture where everyone is included – It does not matter if you are working in marketing or if you are the most hardcore backend developer – we look after each other and make sure everyone is seen, heard and respected.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

I would advise them to get to know their colleagues! Cooperation is easier when the first wall is broken down between coworkers. I would also tell them to be curious and take advantage of all the knowledge and various courses that are available for Capgemini employees. Both knowledge from colleagues and from our courses or Upskill events online.

Why should you join Capgemini?

If you want an inclusive work environment with the opportunity to work on exciting projects and for interesting clients – both in the private and public sector, Capgemini is the place for you! We believe that diversity and inclusion make everyone feel truly valued.

In Capgemini you will gain valuable experience and learn a great set of skills. You can truly shape your own future within this organization. And of course – have a lot of fun!
