New Book! The Future of Data – How Nordic companies scale and transform with data and AI

Stockholm School of Economics, Copenhagen Business School, and Capgemini (nominated “Leader” in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data and Analytics Service Providers for six years in a row) have collaborated to write The Future of Data – How Nordic companies scale and transform with data and AI – a practical guide with valuable insights on how to master your data.

A pioneer in the Nordic market, this book looks 10 years ahead and brings forth the best practices of trendsetting companies in the data and analytics domain.

It’s time we all aim to become data masters*

However, in the Nordics, the gap between leaders and laggards has grown significantly during the last 10 years, and “traditional” Nordic companies tend to be slower in transforming using data. The book helps the readers to identify ways to close this gap.

We consistently see the Nordics rank at the top of various global indexes, including those for competitiveness, entrepreneurship, and innovation. At the same time, we know that scaling up and converting innovations into steady revenue streams is difficult. There are very few companies that are truly able to scale. I hope the data strategies in this book will enable these entrepreneurs to take their ideas to the next level ” – Anil Agarwal, CEO, Capgemini Nordics and initiator of the book.

The future belongs to those who start now

What differentiates data masters from others? What is the roadmap to mastery for non-masters? This book answers these questions through in-depth interviews with 11 Nordic companies such as Essity, Fortum, The LEGO Group, Neste, Northvolt, Scania, Securitas, Sinch, Telenor, Telia, and WirelessCar.

Readers will also get insights through best practices to better understand how to maximize their skills and harness the power of data to make better decisions, transform their companies and outperform competitors.

Are you ready to make the necessary efforts and investments to become truly data-driven? Then this book is for you.

The book is available in several different bookstores and online, such as Adlibris (Example for Norway) and Amazon (International purchase).

*A data master is an organization that excels at the dimensions of data foundations and data behavior, and this means that it creates, processes and leverages data proactively to fulfill the purpose of the organization, achieve its business objectives and drive innovation.
