I joined Capgemini in January 2021 after earning a Master’s degree in cybernetics from NTNU. Starting as a full stack developer, I have worked on numerous projects across different sectors, tackling challenging tech issues and striving to become a trusted advisor. 

Can you share an example of how the Ignite program has impacted your career?   

It’s been a total game-changer! Through Ignite, I quickly built a network of friends and colleagues from all over the company. Now, when I travel to the Stavanger office for a project, I already know people there, thanks to Ignite. This network has been invaluable in discovering new opportunities and taking on more responsibilities across different parts of the company.

How would you describe the community and support among employees at Capgemini? 

 Some weeks ago, a project one of my colleagues was working on encountered a major problem. He reached out to one of his friends for help, who then asked another colleague, and so on. It quickly led to a meeting room filled with people from all across the company, all eager to assist. To me, this perfectly illustrates the culture at Capgemini, showcasing a genuine willingness to support and help each other.

What characterizes the people and culture at Capgemini?

 I find the people at Capgemini to be both skillful and hard-working, as well as incredibly helpful and positive. But that is as far as the comparison goes. The range of different roles at Capgemini means there’s a place for everyone—from tech enthusiasts to business experts and everything in between. To me, this diversity and inclusiveness define the culture at Capgemini and make it a truly great place to work. 

What makes you passionate about your work?   

The fact that I will spend so much of my life at work makes it truly important to me to have a job I really care about. As a software developer at Capgemini, I truly enjoy the challenging work and the energy it takes to overcome complex problems. I love the small moments, such as when I get an idea and need to run back to my computer to try it out, or when a spontaneous brainstorming session by the coffee machine sparks a breakthrough. Equally important to me is the opportunity to constantly learn and develop myself, both in terms of technical skills and personal growth. 

How does Capgemini’s vision for the future align with your career aspirations?   

I love using technology to drive positive change and hopefully build a better world. Capgemini’s focus on creating an inclusive and sustainable future really resonates with me. At Capgemini, I feel empowered to make a real impact. Whether it’s advancing my career or addressing global challenges, the company’s commitment to leveraging technology for the benefit of everyone inspires me.
