From the desk of data leaders

Key trends & challenges for 2024

In 2024, Generative AI (Gen AI) is a priority on the General Data Management Agenda

After the most eventful year in the history of Gen AI, we asked 53 data managers from large- and medium-sized French companies to speak on the evolution of their data management strategy.

Gen AI is no longer simply disrupting what it means to be a Chief Data Officer (CDO). It is now on the immediate general management agenda. 2023 saw the rapid launch of new experiments designed to form convictions on how Gen AI is used, an understanding of its technologies, and an assessment of its associated risks. As an innovative management consultancy, one key development was the incorporation of generative AI in data management.

Data managers are now committed to making 2024 the year of data management solutions by embracing new use cases, deploying tools throughout their organizations, and natively embedding this innovative technology. At the same time, the enactment of the European Union’s AI Act will accelerate the creation of trustworthy artificial intelligence.
