Artificial Intelligence in the Operational Employment of the Army

On April 16th, 2025, the Portuguese Army will host the Army Innovation Conference, where Artificial Intelligence and military operations intersect to shape the future of Defense.

This event will bring together renowned experts, both national and international, as well as various sector entities, to foster in-depth discussions on the transformative impact of AI on the Army’s operational employment and its broader implications for society.

The conference will be presided over by His Excellency the Chief of Staff of the Army, representing the military aspect, and will also feature a representative from the Government (to be confirmed).

Capgemini has been invited to join the panel on “Foundations of Artificial Intelligence”,where João Sanches, Head of Generative Artificial Intelligence and Business Transformation Programs at Capgemini Portugal, will discuss the application of AI in Industry.
