Beware of phishing emails and fraudulent scams

Currently, a number of major brands are being impersonated by fraudsters. We have been made aware of scams in the market that promise easy income in exchange for simple professional activities such as following profiles and pages on social networks, posting comments and likes on reported photos and videos, or posting reviews on various online services. This is then followed by financial conditions and requests such as small additional payments to unlock further payment for the work done.

As responsible global leader, Capgemini will never send you an unsolicited instant message via your personal social platforms, with no introduction and an open question such as “Hello, can I talk to you for a moment?”  followed by asking for payments to unlock further monetary rewards.

Do not respond to such messages sent by unknown users, do not click on suspicious links that can compromise your devices, do not provide your passwords to access your bank accounts and email and, above all, protect your personal data.

It is advisable to block these fraudulent numbers and report such messages using any official reporting mechanism available in your country.

Recently, we’ve seen an increase in recruitment fraud involving scammers posting fake job openings or contacting job seekers with fraudulent job offers. These individuals may even conduct fake interviews to obtain personal information or money from applicants. Some scammers may impersonate Capgemini recruiters, offering job opportunities in exchange for payment.​

At Capgemini, we follow a structured recruitment process with thorough screening steps. We never charge or accept any fees from job seekers during the recruitment process. If you receive any unsolicited or suspicious communication regarding a job offer or interview call that requests money, please recognize it as a scam.​

How to identify recruitment fraud​

• Capgemini never requests fees for any purpose during or after the hiring process. We will never ask for money to apply or work.​

• Our hiring process always includes at least one interview (virtual or in-person). We will not conduct interviews via instant messaging applications.​

• Our recruitment teams communicate using email addresses with the domain @capgemini.com, @sogeti.com, or @frog.co. Be cautious of emails from generic domains like Gmail or Yahoo, as they may be fraudulent.​

• We do not request personal documents such as bank account details, tax forms, or credit card information during the recruitment process.​
