Capgemini Launches SAP® S/4HANA Finance for Broad Green Pictures, First in Industry

12 May 2016

New York, May 12, 2016 – Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has announced the implementation of the SAP® S/4HANA Finance solution for Broad Green Pictures, a Los Angeles-based feature film production, financing and distribution company. This implementation is the first of its kind in the media and entertainment industry, and aims to provide a cost-effective finance and accounting solution that will be scalable as the studio grows.

Under a three-year agreement, Capgemini will provide implementation and hosting services, license re-sale and application support through its OnePath offering, which bundles the SAP license with Capgemini’s industry-specific configuration and services. The SAP S/4HANA Finance solution provides Broad Green with a fully integrated, real-time enterprise resource planning system. The technology enables more structured accounts to help meet external and internal reporting requirements, and streamline data sets to improve financial control.

The SAP S/4HANA Finance solution integrates with multiple applications including third-party rights management systems, indirect procurement and SAP HANA® Live. The integration provides one platform for Broad Green to access data and information in real time to inform financial reporting decisions.

“Capgemini’s collaborative approach meshes well with our people-first culture, and was a big reason for our decision to work with them in implementing this system,” said Jeremy Fuchs, Chief Technology Officer, Broad Green Pictures. “This project is an important step toward our larger goal to provide a modern infrastructure and resources to our team and filmmakers.”

Capgemini is hosting the application via Amazon Web Services (AWS), using Capgemini’s Orchestration Management Platform End to End (COMPLETE) business cloud platform that will enable Broad Green to scale activity based on project needs in a cost-effective manner. Capgemini will also provide ongoing application support.

“Broad Green prides itself on pushing boundaries as a new player, and we approached this project, the first of its kind in the industry, in the same way,” said Andre Merikyan, Vice President for Media and Entertainment of Capgemini in North America. “SAP S/4HANA Finance provided us with a new way to implement SAP software in this industry. We’re excited to continue to work with Broad Green as they grow.”
