The 2022 UK’s Best Workplace™ in Tech list from Great Place to Work® recognises Capgemini UK among 140 ranked organisations.

We’re delighted that our employees believe they are at a great place to work, according to the UK’s Best Workplace™ in Tech list. This list – compiled by the authority on workplace culture Great Place to Work® UK – recognises innovative, flexible, and forward-thinking practices and cultures developed by organisations within the UK’s technology industry. Capgemini UK was recognised with eighth place among the 13 Super Large Organisations assessed (those with 1,000+ employees).

The recognition confirms that Capgemini UK:

  • Is a great workplace FOR ALL, where employees can reach their full potential, no matter who they are or what they do.
  • Is an organisation built upon trust, where employees are proud of the work they do, and enjoy working in the technology industry.
  • Recognises the importance of innovation and career growth for employees in the technology industry.
  • Prioritises the wellbeing and work-life balance of employees to provide positive experiences at work.

“It’s fantastic to see Capgemini listed in the UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech 2022. We recognise that everyone’s career journey is different and tailor support accordingly to enable everyone to thrive in their careers.

We are proud to prioritise creating a workplace where all our people feel welcome and can achieve their full potential. By consciously considering and valuing individual differences and establishing rituals for hybrid working, we embed routines to ensure all team members feel supported in their day-to-day work and career and so they can develop and progress at a pace that suits them.” Andrea Metherell, Head of Diversity, Equality & Inclusion for Capgemini UK

Capgemini UK’s six Employee Networks are integral to making sure everyone can be themselves and thrive at work. Open to all employees, our Networks encourage conversation, promote allyship and build understanding.

A few ways Capgemini is providing differentiated support:

  • Our Relaunch@Capgemini programme assists those returning to work after a career break.
  • Over 150 women attended our first Women on Boards programme in 2021, with an additional cohort introduced in September 2022.  From this, several of our women are now incumbent Board members at external organisations.
  • Everyone at Capgemini UK has access to the Peppy health app which provides tailored medical support and advice, as appropriate for different life stages.
  • Our Mental Health Champions provide an alternative network of support for any employee.
  • We run reverse mentoring programmes to help our people build awareness and understanding of the different perspectives, beliefs, characteristics and strengths that diversity brings.

What our people say about our workplace:

“Capgemini supplies all the tools, support, and advice to have a wonderful IT career and work-life balance.”

“They care about their staff as individuals, it’s the longest time I have worked for the same company.”

“Capgemini promotes itself as having a number of “Core values”: Honesty, Boldness, Trust, Freedom, Fun, Modesty, Team Spirit. These values are more than words; they are upheld by all staff at the company, from senior management to new joiners. This creates a very positive and warm working environment where I feel I can be myself, and I can trust that I will always be supported by my colleagues where needed.”

As Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place to Work® UK, explains

“Now in its fifth year, our 2022 list showcases the largest collection of Best WorkplacesTM in Tech that the UK has ever recognised.

These results are based on what employees working in the technology industry have anonymously reported to us about their workplace experience. In a fast and ever-evolving industry, these organisations are at the forefront of ensuring employees have the right environment to thrive, they are focused on providing positive work experiences, they value diversity, differences and better ways of doing things and, importantly, are investing in effective leadership to ensure continuous growth.”
