the Information Worker category

Finalist in Information worker category for Technical Innovation

The world’s biggest software corporation has rewarded Capgemini’s achievements
at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2005. Capgemini is recognised as
the sales and marketing partner of the year in the Information Worker category.
Moreover, Capgemini’s strategic partnership with the UK’s Ministry of Defence
(MOD) has won praise from the client, the IT industry and Microsoft – the Defence
Electronic Commerce Service (DECS) collaboration programme reached the finals
of Microsoft’s Information Worker category for Technical Innovation.

The DECS collaboration programme is the MOD’s preferred corporate solution for
enabling collaborative working between the MOD and the wider defence industry.
It runs with a host of Microsoft software including Office SharePoint Portal Server
2003 and .NET. DECS was designed and built in response to the British government’s
plan to make all of its services available for both the public and private sectors
by the end of 2005. Half-way through a highly successful ten-year partnership,
Capgemini and the MOD have already reached some significant milestones with introductions
of new technologies. Microsoft has been impressed and decided to award Capgemini
this latest accolade.
