Capgemini UK plc (“Capgemini”) and the Inland Revenue have been awarded the prestigious
2005 Gold Management Consultancies Association Award for Outsourcing.

The MCA awards identify the best case study in each of the categories it considers.
Each case study outlines how the organisation, in the private or public sector,
has achieved a significant improvement in performance with the help of a management
consultancy firm.

In the Outsourcing category, the judges commended Capgemini and the Inland Revenue
on a number of points, which included the successful transfer of services and
the introduction of innovative new working methods such as the ‘global ecosystem’.
This approach is an excellent example of collaborative working as it enabled partners
such as Fujitsu Services, BT Global Services and hundreds of technology vendors
to work together effectively.

Martin Cook CEO of Capgemini’s Aspire division, said: “Winning awards is always
an opportunity to celebrate,” he said, “but when the award is a recognition from
our industry peers, it is a real source of pride for the company and a big vote
of confidence in our people. This award is a recognition of Capgemini’s collaborative
approach working with our people, our client and our key partners. Fujitsu Services
were a big part in the success, and our thanks to them.”
