The new IMS solution is designed to leverage SAP’s methodology for rapid-deployment solutions to help execute the migration in a fixed timeframe of a matter of weeks in most cases. It also combines Capgemini’s comprehensive migration methodology and its highly trained onshore and Rightshore® resources on SAP HANA, which is expected to provide an efficient and cost-effective migration option. In a phased approach, it is planned for a migration assessment to first detail the system and project requirements and migration strategy followed by pre-migration preparation activities, then execution of the migration leveraging SAP’s rapid-deployment methods, operational-readiness testing, and, finally, post-migration optimisation. Greater efficiency in migrating SAP NetWeaver BW on RDBMSs to SAP NetWeaver on SAP HANA is expected to allow organisations to more quickly realise the power behind in-memory computing, helping to allow quicker business decisions and more timely actionable intelligence.

IMS joins an ever-growing set of solutions offered by Capgemini, in support of SAP software, supported by its more than 13,000 practitioners who collaborate with clients in all industries and regions across the complete lifecycle of SAP solutions: licensing, implementation, hosting, and application management, with a focus on delivering value.

We commend Capgemini on its IMS solution, through which we anticipate our joint customers can take advantage of these migration capabilities its intended technical and business benefits.”
