Capgemini becomes the first Authorised Autodesk System Integrator

Paris and California, December 1, 2021 – Capgemini, business and technology transformation leader, and Autodesk, Inc., a leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, announced today that they have signed a global collaboration framework agreement, enabling them to join forces to deliver end-to-end Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms and transformation programs. Capgemini becomes the first Authorised Autodesk System Integrator, playing a key role in the development of the programme.

Capgemini entered into a global agreement with Autodesk in 2019 in order to deploy a 360° Building Information Modelling (BIM) platform, named ReflectIoD[1], for building and infrastructure operators.

At a time when BIM and Digital Twins[2] are becoming industry standards, asset and infrastructure operators have to make the most of their existing infrastructures while preparing and building the next generations, leveraging consistently the full power of digital and cloud all along their life cycle. This new agreement allows Capgemini and Autodesk to deliver end-to-end Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms and transformation programs, from advisory services to implementation and change management services, as well as platform operations services.

“Technological convergence must go hand in hand with extended ecosystems to make intelligent industry a reality. Collaborations around unified data is the very essence of a digital twin. This consolidated partnership with Autodesk brings a unique combination of expertise and assets to deliver value at speed to asset and infrastructure industries, from design to operate,” says Jean-Pierre Petit, Capgemini’s Digital Manufacturing Global Offer Leader.

“Our Autodesk platform technologies enable our customers to fundamentally transform their business across Design, Make, Build, and Operate in key industries. Key for successful business transformation, at wider scale, in a timely and concise manner, means realising the full impact of that transformation, and minimising risks. Capgemini is a strong partner that offers help with a unique combination of skills and services on strategy, technology, engineering, and information technology in a very proficient and proven way,” highlights Michael Russell, Director of Partner Services Ecosystem.
