Tell me about what brought you to Capgemini.

I’ve been with Capgemini for about 10 years now. Prior to Capgemini I was in recruiting, in HR. Then I was in international development working abroad, and then went to business school.

Right from business school, I was recruited to Capgemini to be a Management Consultant for what’s now called Capgemini Invent. As a consultant, I was always working on people-related projects, always focused on the people element of any type of big transformation or strategy project. An opportunity became available in the Invent HR team, and I always knew that I was going to end up back in HR. I had the opportunity to join the team and have been in HR ever since.

What’s your day-to-day as an HR business partner look like?

At Capgemini, day-to-day, as an HR business partner, I work with the leaders in my business unit and really help them navigate the people strategy that is in line with their business priorities and their business strategy.

How has Capgemini supported your growth professionally and/or personally?

Capgemini has supported my growth both professionally and personally. Specifically, I’ve had many mentors over the years here at Capgemini, and I think that the person I was 10 years ago when I first started is very different from the person that I am today – as a result of working with so many great leaders who have offered feedback, who have mentored me throughout my time, who have provided different growth opportunities to me. And for that I’ll be forever grateful.

What do you love most about Capgemini?

What I love most about Capgemini is the people. I’ve been with Capgemini over 10 years and there’s not one thing that has made me stay this entire time more than the people that I’ve worked with. I really enjoy working with really driven, smart people and I am always surrounded by those at Capgemini.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

Take advantage of all the different opportunities there are to network, to build community in your local office. Show up to the office, especially during events where you have the opportunity to meet and network with people outside of your own business unit, because it’s easy to get lost in Capgemini, and without making the effort to network and interact and engage outside of your business unit, it’s easy to stay siloed.

How is Capgemini helping you get the future you want?

Capgemini is helping me get the future I want by providing an environment where I’m able to grow professionally with so many different opportunities, both within my business unit and across business lines and business units. And just being the type of employer that really encourages mobility and growth. If you at some point find yourself ready to move on, there’s always another opportunity without even leaving the organization.
