Gender pay gap statement

OUR COMMITMENT

At Capgemini Australia and New Zealand we are committed to ensuring our organisation is a place where people feel valued, included and empowered.

As such, we have been actively working to continue our year-on-year progression in reducing the median gender pay gap and have made consistent progress in doing this, with a 4.2% reduction from the last reporting period (2021-22). We welcome the opportunity for transparency and openness presented by WGEA. We look forward to working together to build a more inclusive and innovative future for Australia and New Zealand.

OUR PATHWAY TO EQUITY

We have progressed in many areas in our pathway to equity. Becoming a platinum employer with AWEI (Australian Workplace Equality Index) and we are recognized as a top 10 best place to work in Australia by Great Places to Work. Our investment in the next generation of tech professionals has us onboarding a gender balanced graduate program year-on-year into our Industry leading, award winning graduate program.

We have a number of initiatives that ensure we are fostering, growing and identifying diverse talent. Find out more about these below.

Communities (ENG’s)

Communities / Employee Network Groups (ENG’s) are an important aspect of Capgemini’s workplace culture. Our Women at Capgemini Group, which operates in Australia and New Zealand helps shape company policy and culture in meaningful ways, including:

  • Developing programs and policies that retain, promote, and develop female talent across our organistion
  • Promoting engagement and retention through more flexibility at work and parental support.
  • Ensuring more women representation in business, client-facing, and core tech roles, through hiring and career pathways (See Relaunch).

Relaunch

Relaunch at Capgemini is an Australian based three (3) month training and transition program specially aimed at women looking to re-enter the workforce after a career break. Program participants receive a technology-driven development program with core-consulting courses aimed at upskilling and refreshing each employee’s capabilities on their transition back to work.

Digital Literacy CSR – techgirls, deadly coders

  • Encouraging high school girls for STEM career pathway
  • We have identified and partnered with Explore Careers in AU & NZ who design to bring school students from under-represented demographics in STEM to connect with Capgemini so we may inspire, foster and encourage an interest in STEM careers. This is our commitment to increasing representation of traditionally excluded peoples or minority groups from tech.

RAP (Reconciliation Action Plan)

Capgemini’s vision for reconciliation, is to join hands with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, to ensure their perspectives and voices are heard and valued in all aspects of our operations.

This includes creating equity of opportunities within our organisation, fostering a culture of understanding and respect for reconciliation, and incorporating Indigenous perspectives into our work practices and solutions and collaborating with clients who share our commitment to reconciliation and sustainability.

As part of our leadership uplift we provide specialist training to our leaders on key topics including unconscious bias and LGBTQ Allyship training.
