What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

In just two words: busy and exciting. I coordinate the Bid Management team in Romania while at the same time keeping a close eye on our strategic partnerships, locally. Basically, I am responsible for the coordination of end-to-end tenders that are launched by clients, and that we decide to participate in, ensuring that the proposals are delivered at quality and in time.

It’s a very rapid and complex environment, so this means I need to be able to manage various teams that are involved in a multitude of streams. But I am very lucky to be working with a great team of bid managers and experts, from solutioning through to sales and finance.

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

I joined Capgemini with enthusiasm and wonder, looking for a new chapter in my career. Since then, I have had the opportunity to be involved in several of our company’s different lines of business, working for clients on various projects, and working internationally with colleagues all around the world. And I can honestly say that, although I haven’t seen it all, this company keeps on surprising me! You are lucky to have so many different opportunities here, and this keeps you engaged all the time.

So, in short, the best things about working at Capgemini are definitely the exciting challenges. And so, after more than six years onboard on this journey, I am as thrilled as I was at the start, with the certainty that I have made the right choice for my future.

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

The way we tackle each challenge we encounter. Adapting to a new way of working, responding to a humanitarian crisis, finding solutions for a more sustainable future. I truly feel that we as a company are really doing our part to build a better world.

How are you working towards the future you want?

In my role as an employee representative for Capgemini Romania, I strive to help create a more inclusive and diverse work environment by ensuring that all employees are well-represented, and that all their voices are heard. It’s of paramount importance to us to have a great collective of people who understand our mission and commitment, so being able to make sure that our promises really do come to life is very rewarding.

I am also, along with my colleagues, continuously supporting our sustainability mission, by lending a hand in various internal projects.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

If you decide to give Capgemini a chance, you will not be disappointed. My only advice would be to speak your mind. If you encounter a problem, I guarantee you that there will be someone here to help or give you some sought-after advice. We want our colleagues to be bold, just like our seven core Values say.
