"Capgemini has many amazing processes, accelerators, and excellent results, but people matter, they are the most important part of Capgemini."

Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

My core skill is an SAP Cloud Architect, and I work in the ALS-SAP practice. In this role I plan, design, and implement SAP solutions using cloud-based products, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Example S/4HANA Rise on Microsoft Azure.

I am part of the global Capgemini Architecture community, and my role is to mentor and guide project team members. By doing this I help to reduce delivery risk, demonstrate delivery quality, and positively impact people.

In a normal day, I might be working on an RFP where I would:

  • Answer specific RFP questions about our SAP design
  • Building and presenting PowerPoint slides for a client verbal presentation
  • Drawing an SAP Cloud Architecture on AWS or Azure
  • Providing inputs into the project planning and resourcing

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

I have worked at Capgemini for over 8 years now, and I have been blessed to have met so many people.

Capgemini has many amazing processes, accelerators, and excellent results, but people matter, they are the most important part of Capgemini.

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

During my time, the SAP delivery team have never missed a cutover. There have been times when the cutover has been delayed, but we have never failed to deliver the final product.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

When you are first starting out at Capgemini, honesty is the most important trait. Being honest will enable you to build trust, and once you have that combination, you will be able to work as one team to achieve both company and personal goals.
