ATL Marathon: Supporting high school students to become innovators and entrepreneurs

The Capgemini ATL Marathon Student Innovator Program (SIP), hosted under the government’s Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL), seeks to develop an innovative and creative mindset among India’s children.

As part of this programme, Capgemini India and SRF Foundation will support ATLs in 120 government, private and public schools across 16 states. Six engineers from SRF and 63 mentors from Capgemini will provide onsite support to teachers and students, helping them acquire future skills in upcoming technology areas.

In addition, 25 shortlisted all-girl teams will get to join the SIP that will run over six weeks. Here, Capgemini leaders, industrial experts and engineers will mentor the participants.

The programme, launched virtually on India’s National Digital Literacy Day, September 8, 2020, will have weekly mentoring sessions on themes like Artificial Intelligence, Design Thinking and Product Design. Students will also receive guidance in building prototype solutions around real-life challenges.

With this programme, we will be guiding and building the youth for a better tomorrow.
