Capgemini has been the foundation of my professional growth, offering me the freedom to explore diverse and challenging opportunities. I joined as a fresher and, over the years, have grown into a senior leader responsible for driving large and complex transformations across the organization. My focus has always been on empowering our teams to deliver exceptional value to our clients and helping unleash the full potential of our people. I am passionate about building high-performing, collaborative teams and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

My usual work day

I start my day early, reviewing emails and my calendar to set clear priorities. This early start allows me to organize and plan effectively, ensuring I’m prepared for the day’s demands. Overseeing multiple programs means I must constantly prioritize and align my availability for the most critical meetings and conference calls. I make it a point to carve out focus time for long-term strategic activities, so they don’t get lost in the daily whirlwind. This discipline helps me ensure that regular deliverables are met and that I can drive progress on key initiatives.

Lunch is more than just a break for me—it’s an opportunity to connect with colleagues from different teams and areas. These informal interactions are invaluable for learning about other parts of the business and building lasting relationships.

In my global role, evenings often involve collaborating with teams across time zones, which can be challenging to balance with personal commitments. I strive to keep at least two to three hours every evening free from meetings, dedicating that time to my family and personal priorities. The dynamic nature of my role, with its ever-changing information and priorities, keeps me energized and ensures that no two days are ever the same.

My life at Capgemini

What makes Capgemini truly special is our people. I’ve had the privilege of working with colleagues who have shaped not only my career but also my outlook on leadership and collaboration. I’ve learned the importance of being open to perspectives from both senior and junior team members, respecting differences, and building strong, trust-based relationships.

Our culture is one of boundless opportunity. Whenever I’ve sought new challenges or growth, Capgemini has enabled me to pursue them. I am grateful for the many learning and development journeys I’ve experienced here, both as a participant and as a mentor. Sharing my expertise and supporting others’ growth is something I value deeply. Most importantly, Capgemini is a place where I feel valued and respected, and where I can contribute to a culture of inclusion and continuous improvement.

Places I have been

Working in a global organization has given me the chance to experience a wide range of cultures and business environments. I’ve lived in the United States for assignments and have traveled to the UK, France, Spain, Singapore, and Vietnam for various business needs. While I am currently based in Pune, I have also lived and worked in Mumbai and Hyderabad. These experiences have broadened my perspective and enhanced my ability to lead diverse, cross-cultural teams.

Projects I’m Proud Of

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to lead and contribute to several transformative projects, and lead and be a part of wonderful teams always.

  • Global transformation program: I personally led a large‑scale transformation that impacted every employee in our unit worldwide (~50,000 people) and enabled me to also extend my efforts to support the entire organization. We deployed a global operating model, process, and system in record time, navigating changing requirements, regional complexities, user‑experience considerations, and many other challenges. It’s rewarding to know that employees now benefit from a simpler, better experience while we meet our organizational goals of simplifying the landscape.
  • Building High-Performing Teams: I established and led a delivery operations team for a business unit that grew to over 100 members, serving more than 90 clients. Leading such a diverse and geographically distributed team was a fulfilling experience, especially as I watched many team members advance to bigger roles and make significant contributions across the organization.
  • Enterprise Billing and Underwriting Transformation: As a business analyst, I defined requirements for a complex, custom-built system with multiple interfaces. Despite evolving requirements and significant challenges, we delivered the system on time, and it was gratifying to have my contributions recognized by the client.
  • Large Sales Opportunities: I’ve worked as both a business analyst and bid manager on major transformational deals in financial services. Bringing in business at this scale is always a fulfilling experience.
  • Application and Maintenance for Insurer: Serving as the offshore service delivery manager, I provided 24/7 support for a complex legacy system in a multi-location model. Setting up and leading a high-performing team, and receiving client appreciation for our work, has been a highlight of my career.

My personal life

Outside of work, I cherish time with my family, especially on weekends. My twins keep my wife and me constantly on our toes, and we enjoy every moment together. I love reading fiction, playing table tennis, watching movies and series, and following sports—especially cricket and American football. These interests help me recharge and bring balance to my life.

My Perspective

Getting the future you want is truly in your own hands, and Capgemini gives you every opportunity to achieve that—when you take the initiative and drive it yourself. I believe that change is good, and that the most uncomfortable changes are the ones that drive the greatest learning, growth, and progress. This perspective has shaped my journey, and I strive to inspire others to embrace change, take ownership of their development, and create the future they envision.
