Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

As a Senior Consultant at Capgemini Engineering, my role demands me to thrive in a team environment. I spend my day analyzing, designing, and developing technology-based solutions for Capgemini’s clients. My day starts with carrying out risk assessments and quality assurance tasks to ensure that we’re meeting demands for our business and customers. I am also the Technical Lead in Automation Testing and am entrusted with crucial tasks like bridging technical gaps for my team to ensure quality product delivery.

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

At Capgemini, we believe in being a close-knit team and providing a collaborative environment that embodies our Group values. At work, we try our best to ease each other’s stress with frequent sessions of humor and laughter. The bonding sessions bring us all together and cultivate an atmosphere of team spirit. At Capgemini, we have the freedom to express ourselves, and in my opinion, that’s the best thing about working at Capgemini.

How are you working towards the future you want?

I constantly work towards the future I have envisioned for myself.  Exploring new horizons and chartering unfamiliar paths have always helped me gain a wealth of experience and knowledge. Capgemini allows me the space to learn on the job, enhance my skills and excel in my job. Here, I work on the latest technologies and am always backed by my managers to explore new tools and technologies. I am confident this is how getting the future you want looks like.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

Great things in business are never done by one person. They are done by a team of people. Make efforts to strike a bond with your team members. After all, teamwork makes dream work. As soon as I joined Capgemini, I was down with COVID-19. But the way HR, my managers and colleagues supported me was incredible. Invest time in building relationships with your colleagues and managers. Never forget: “None of us is as smart as all of us.”

How do you think Capgemini’s support has been since the pandemic began?

As a COVID warrior, I can confidently say that Capgemini’s assistance during the pandemic was outstanding. The benevolence displayed by my manager and HR team was exceptional. For my team, the top priority was my health. My managers regularly called me to check on my health, and the company provided all the support I needed, including doctor consultation, paid leaves, and other healthcare amenities. IT team, too, ensured that the transition to work from home remains seamless.
