Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

Finance plays a critical role in business decisions at Capgemini. As a Finance business partner, I believe in keeping my approach agile to the changing business environments. We get a lot done in a day, yet, I look forward to coming back to the team, blending in, and having fun while chasing our day-to-day challenges each day. The values of Capgemini are at the heart of our daily routine, which reflects on the peer-to-peer relationships we share within the team.

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

For me, it is the work culture and the approachable, humble, and down-to-earth our Capgemini leadership. As an individual, everyone here is valued and respected, and there is zero room for any form of bias. The flexibility and understanding I get from my colleagues to manage my commitments is the most outstanding aspect of the culture I experience here.  Leading the Fun team for India finance team enables me to connect across boundaries with people of different cultures. It’s impressive how, as teams, we blend effortlessly across states in India and the globe. It’s equally amazing to see how teams around the world accommodate and respect time zone differences.

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

I take pride in the company’s core value: modesty. I am also proud to be a part of such an ethically strong company. Our day-to-day activities are a result of a solid foundation of our values. How are you working towards the future you want?

I am driven by challenges and continuous learning. Working with Capgemini allows me to fulfill that ambition. Opportunities are plenty for those who are willing to drive an impact. Also, the strong mobility framework and supportive leadership help to guide people to get the future they want. As a group, we encourage innovation and ideas; we also have a robust forum to present your thought process. My journey and success are a result of embracing the opportunities and challenges offered to me.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

To all new joiners, my advice would be to make the most of all the opportunities at Capgemini. We cultivate a transparent culture and have approachable peer-to-peer relationships. Connect with folks outside your team and work on building a strong network. Capgemini is an ocean that lets you get involved in multiple facets, right from CSR, diversity, learning, fun, music, inclusion … the list goes on. Embrace the positivity and opportunities that Capgemini offers.

How do you think Capgemini’s support has been since the pandemic began?

The transition from office to work from home for my team and I has been extremely smooth. The support from HR, their continuous support, and efforts to reach out to people in these times have been exemplary. More so, when there was a shortage of appointments for vaccinations, the Capgemini vaccination program came as a true blessing. Lastly, the support received through the L.I.F.E. program has helped me build confidence in the eventuality of uncertainties.
