  • How do you feel in the morning getting up and going to work at Capgemini?
    As a delivery leader, each day brings in its own set of opportunities and challenges that must be catered to. So usually, I am excited to start my day thinking about “How can I maximize the value added by me today?”
    I have a quick glance through emails pre-commute to office as this gives me a chance to prioritize & plan on my way to work – so that I have a mental map on how I should structure my day by the time I am in the office.
  • What do you love about your job?
    Capgemini is a diverse company with presence in over 40+ countries. I love working in a global community. Some of the large transformation programs I manage involve delivery across 120+ countries. This provides me with many opportunities to interact with business contacts across the globe, learn about cultural nuances and differences of doing business in different parts of the world.
  • How does Capgemini empower you to master your skills?
    Capgemini has a huge focus on ‘Continuous Learning’. Every week, we would see notes from leadership, L&D partners and managers asking for nominations for training in the latest skills in the technology spectrum. So individuals have immense freedom to develop their skills and in essence, steer their career.
    Over last 17 years with the company, I have been managing projects involving diverse technologies like Legacy Mainframes, Java, ERPs like Oracle / SAP, Insights and Data, CRM, Tools like Kronos and niche areas like Cloud. The robust training support from the company has helped me fare through these transitions.
  • How does Capgemini help support your sense of purpose in your career?
    I strongly believe that everyone in IT has a primary role of being a ‘Problem Solver’. Being in Capgemini provides me with an opportunity to help solve many complex problems that businesses worldwide face in today’s volatile, ever-changing world.
  • How does Capgemini give you the autonomy to make decisions?
    Capgemini has a well-documented set of policies and procedures that every employee is expected to adhere to as part of ‘The Blue Book’. These are easily accessible for every Capgemini employee.
    As long as an employee is compliant to these guiding principles, employees do get a huge amount of freedom in making the choices to effectively deliver their roles.
    As a delivery leader, my superiors have always encouraged me to operate with a P&L mindset i.e. Manage the portfolio KPIs as if you were the CEO for that portfolio.

    Capgemini is one of the most ethical companies; it has a huge focus on diversity and global client base – all in all, a great place to work.
  • How does this all combine for you to have the passion for what you do?
    I have a passion for ‘Working with People’ and ‘Building strong relationships’. Through its worldwide presence and global client base, Capgemini provides me with immense opportunities to work with people from diverse cultures who have different perspectives.
  • What was the most memorable moment in your Capgemini journey?
    Well, I have had numerous memorable moments throughout my journey with the company. One of the recent ones was being recognized with the ‘Delivery Excellence’ award in 2018. This was a prestigious award in the company and being chosen for the same means a lot to me.
