Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

I work with Salesforce, which is a CRM, and I’m a QA engineer doing the tests for the development team. In my typical day, I am always learning, and that is motivating to me. Between attending meetings and accomplishing tasks, I have the time to study for Salesforce certifications. I have already achieved Salesforce Admin and Salesforce Developer and I’m currently working on the App Builder certification. And at the end of the working day, there is always a time for team fun!

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

I belong to a very dynamic and close team and we all have the will to develop. Even though we have been working remotely, Capgemini has created an environment where our wellbeing is important. It is very calm, everyone helps each other, and we are encouraged to get together virtually for fun and not just to work. This really helps us understand each other and work better together in my opinion.

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

I’m proud to work for a company that encourages, supports and enables each employee to build their own personal journey. We can develop our skills through a Personal Development Plan (PDP) that helps us identify our strengths and development needs. My first need was to gain some Salesforce certifications and I immediately supported in doing so. It’s amazing to think that I can turn to Capgemini to help me achieve what I want for my future.

How are you working towards the future you want?

I will always be investing in growing at a functional and technical level, both in terms of certifications and courses and e-learning modules. I’ve been doing this through a Capgemini program called AVANTAGE.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

I would say invest in your career, because Capgemini is a company that gives you the opportunities to do that, and you never stop learning. You should ask for help when you need it, because there are so many talented people who love to help and share their knowledge. They have certainly helped me so far, and I know they will continue to do so.

How has Capgemini’s support been since the pandemic began?

Since the pandemic began, the people I work with have continued to talk to each other and have been honest about the different types of support they need. That’s something that’s been very important to me. For example, we have a daily call with the whole team. We discuss things about work, but also other subjects, and there is always a moment for fun. I think it’s very important to focus on people sharing like this during the pandemic.
