My name is Pascal Espinouse, I live in France. I am married, I have 3 kids, and I am a Lead Architect at Capgemini.
- What do you love about your job?
My career is led by passion and conviction. I need to believe in what I do – and to share, with my teams or my customers, great goals to achieve.
- How does Capgemini help support your sense of purpose in your career?
Capgemini DNA fosters boldness and entrepreneurship. If you have a proposition, an idea, or even a dream, you can bring it to life. You are even encouraged to do so! That is a totally different mindset from most companies I know, which are more hierarchical and process-oriented.
A consequence is that you absolutely need to be involved in this mindset and to connect with as many people as possible in order to be aware of all the innovations currently in progress! Connection is key, and it is not limited to connecting with colleagues in your business unit. It’s all about connecting with all your peers, globally, wherever they come from in the world.
- What do you love about the way of working at Capgemini?
What I like in working with my teams is the sense of partnership, positive challenges, and creativity that result from our collaboration. We commit together, support each other, and encourage and push each other to go further. Excellence is an honourable value, as it drives us to go beyond the limits when it is targeted with respect to our teammates.
- What was the most memorable moment in your Capgemini journey?
Last year, I had the opportunity to take part in the “Connect & Drive” Leadership program. “Connect & Drive” is an intense, demanding, but also exhilarating and fulfilling way of… finding yourself. It brought me purpose, awareness of my fears, it was colourful and enlightening, it was motivating and empowering – a kind of magical journey within myself, a memorable experience that changes daily life at Capgemini.
I encourage everyone to wonder about their values, their own leadership style, their communication assets, their inner light and how to make it shine. Be present, purposeful, conscious – define your intention, and stick to it.
