Capgemini delivers Lucentis S/4 project at De Lijn

De Lijn is a major public Transportation company in Belgium (owned by the Flemish government), owning over 2250 busses and 400 trams, transporting passengers all over Flanders (Belgium). They have over 8000 employees, of which more than 5600 drivers.

In December ’20 Capgemini Belgium won a public tendering for a move to HANA Database (Lucentis environment) and upgrade to S/4 HANA v1909. The project was delivered in November 2021.

Due to the inter-dependencies between satellite systems and the central ECC and the short timeline, a complete follow-up with intermediate milestones was closely followed up during the complete project. This kept the pressure an intensity high on project-team during all the phases of the timeline. We had the first go-lives of satellite systems in March ’21 (SAP Solution Manager, Identity management and ESR), followed by the Customer Vendor Integration early November, the move of different other components (SAP Warehouse Management system, Opentext Capture Center, Opentext Archive Center, Opentext Extended Content Management, SAP Gateway System) mid-November and finally the SAP BI and SAP BO systems went live on December 1st.
