As a young graduate, Capgemini presented me countless of opportunities leading to a fulfilling career surrounded by great people.

Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

My main responsibility is to lead development teams to ensure the customer’s expectations are met. From a technical point of view, I work on the more complex tasks ahead of us. Also, I’ve been dabbling into architecture with the goal of becoming one. On the other side, I coach my peers and make sure they are well-guided. In addition, I lead a community that organizes monthly knowledge-sharing sessions for any topic related to low-code.

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

During my career at Capgemini I’ve met incredible colleagues from all over the world, spanning many cultures. By sharing our different perspectives, it is clear to me that we can always learn from each other. Also, there is seemingly no hierarchy, which encourages us to connect to any of our colleagues, regardless of their position.

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

I started at Capgemini working as a low-code developer. At the time, there was no unit within our practice that focused on this technology. Over the years, many great colleagues have joined this newly created low-code unit and its success story. The great work we’ve been doing culminated in us winning several awards, one of which was “Global Partner of the Year 2022” of the low-code vendor OutSystems.

How are you working towards the future you want?

A newfound passion of mine is coaching/teaching others. While I can’t really envision the future I want, both personally and professionally, I sure hope this aspect is part of it throughout.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

Make mistakes, or at least don’t worry about making them. It is up to you to learn and grow from them, so maybe in the future you can pay it forward to others. I made plenty of them, and still do, but it fosters the growth mindset within me. Technology never stands still, so neither should we, so keep learning!
