With a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management, and a M.Sc. with a major in Business Administration, I decided to join Capgemini and the IgnITe Graduate program in September 2021 as an Application Consultant. I have since been engaged in multiple exciting client projects, sales bids, and internal engagements aside from my assignments.

How come you chose a career as a consultant?

I wanted to become a consultant because I wanted to engage in a variety of projects and collaborate with clients across various industries. This has indeed been the case throughout my journey at Capgemini, something I truly value. I’ve been involved in multiple projects with diverse clients which has enabled me to grow significantly and experience a steep learning curve. However, when I was a student, I had the impression that being a consultant would imply a more independent working style, but to my surprise it has been very team-oriented and that’s something I appreciate a lot.

What has the IgnITe Graduate Program given you and your career?

We had courses in sales and delivery, agile, workshop facilitation, communication skills, and presentation skills. All these courses have helped me greatly in both client assignments and in sales bids where I have held a lot of workshops, demos, and presentations. Those courses are essential since communication and presentation are important tools in the consultant field. Alongside the courses, we did many activities to get to know each other and network. What I also like about the trainee program is that you get the opportunity to familiarize yourself with how it is to work as a consultant and get a gentle start

How are you working towards the future you want?

I’m working towards the future I want by continuously learning, building a strong network, and setting both short term and long-term goals; To keep being curious and wanting to learn in this ever-changing world of IT.

What is your best advice to someone who wants to start the IgnITe Graduate Program and be a part of Capgemini?

Get the most out of it! Be as active as you can in the organization, dare to take on highly challenging tasks, and don’t be afraid to ask a lot of questions. By doing this, you will learn quickly and grow both professionally and as a person.
