Business analysis

“I returned to Capgemini as I found it difficult to find a workplace that matched the opportunities and atmosphere I had experienced here.”

I joined the graduate program in Gothenburg as a Business Analyst. Even though I loved the program, business analysis wasn’t really my thing. It didn’t fit my personality, so I decided to explore something new. I engaged in internal projects, such as social media and college groups. These experiences provided me with valuable insights, and I discovered my proficiency in driving projects and leadership. I’m a go-getter and felt more comfortable and at home in these roles.

“That’s what so great with Capgemini, it’s big enough to let you try new things and find your way!”

Capgemini listened to me, and I got to change to the Project Management path instead. That’s what is so great with Capgemini, it’s big enough to let you try new things and find your way! When I decided to change path, I also moved offices from Gothenburg to Helsingborg. There, I got a junior role in a project at one of our largest clients, I worked my way up and am now working as a Scrum Master.

“I found it difficult to find a workplace that matched the opportunities and atmosphere I had experienced here.”

I briefly left Capgemini to try new challenges at another consulting firm, but I found it difficult to find a workplace that matched the opportunities and atmosphere I had experienced here. When I returned to Capgemini, it felt like coming home. However, I was 5 months pregnant, so it wasn’t long until I went on maternity leave. But I got the same feeling returning from the maternity leave; as if I had never left.

“I can confidently say I’m never bored at work.”

I returned for the people. You never feel lonely at Capgemini, we’re always a group of colleagues at a project. But there are plenty of perks other than the sense of community, like the opportunity to be part of larger deliveries. I thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy some action, and high stakes, you cannot get that at the smaller firms. That weighs heavy for me. The big deliveries also give us autonomy as a team, we have a lot of influence over the project and working methods. Which allows you to grow and develop in your role without having to change projects. Here, I constantly learn new things, and no day is like the other. I can confidently say I’m never bored at work.

“Even though there is so much at stake I still feel I have a good work life balance, which is amazing.”

Seeing the impact of our work really motivates me. Working for one of the largest retailers in the world, our work impacts so many people it is almost hard to grasp. My team is based in Helsingborg, but we make a global impact, that is so cool and I’m proud to be part of that.

And even though there is so much at stake I still feel I have a good work life balance, which is amazing. I don’t feel like I have to work long hours to prove myself or impress someone. People trust me to know best how to prioritize my time, you can decide a bit for yourself how ambition you want to be, and how much you have to give. Earlier I engaged a lot internally and put a lot of my time in work, now that I have a small child I prioritize differently, but the tempo is there if I want it.

“The diversity characterizes Capgemini, not only in background and culture but also in knowledge.”

The diversity characterizes Capgemini, not only in background and culture but also in knowledge, there is always someone to talk to if you need guidance. And we’re proud of this diversity! We take pride in our work, and our common identity as Capgemini ambassadors, but there is also plenty of room for our individual identities. We are truly inclusive, and it’s so fun to take part in all the cultural events celebrating diverse backgrounds and cultures.

To conclude, anything is possible at Capgemini if you want it. Just show what you go for, and you will get the future you want. That’s the strength of the company, you can switch roles, try new things, find yourself. You can change careers without changing your employer.

If I were to list my top reasons to work at Capgemini it would be:

  1. Owning your deliveries, giving you a lot of autonomy and opportunities to shape your career path.
  2. That you never have to be lonely, and always have your team with you at the client.
  3. The work/life balance is amazing.
  4. You can truly get the future you want.
