What made you decide to join Capgemini Engineering?
The first and foremost reason that I joined Capgemini was the IgnITe Graduate Program, it has an excellent reputation and is the perfect start for graduates. Furthermore, I heard that Capgemini had a good reputation with satisfied colleagues, they offered various social activities and the role I got was the perfect match for my interests and education.
Tell us a bit about your role and your background.
I currently work as a Design Engineer with an assignment in the automotive industry. I studied mechanical engineering with a master’s in Aeronautical engineering at Linköping University. Working as a consultant appeared to offer a lot of flexibility regarding assignments and sometimes the place of work. My view of the consulting role was confirmed, it is very flexible, you decide your path based on your preferences and there are many paths to choose between.
What do you think about being a part of Capgemini´s trainee program – IgnITe?
Being an Igniter is one of the best things about being at the company. You are placed in a group of very like-minded people, all eager to start their careers and meet new people. What is your best advice for a student who wants to start the IgnITe Graduate Program and a career at Capgemini?
My advice would be to understand that you don’t need to be the top performer in your field to join the program. The most important thing is to be yourself, eager, and willing to learn and develop. Being able to work within a group is also important, not only for the program but also as a consultant professional.
