“Our strength lies in including and involving our employees. We foster an inclusive culture where collaboration thrives across all units.”
I joined Capgemini in February 2022 as a Managing Consultant in Business Technology Solutions (BTS) Norway. After a year as Managing consultant, I got the role as Head for Business Technology Solutions in Bergen. Today I also am a Business Line Manager in BTS for the Defense sector in Norway. I started my career in the Norwegian Armed Forces where I have had different leadership roles.
What made you decide to join Capgemini?
The global opportunities and the chance to work on challenging and varied assignments with our customers and be able to work on large and exciting projects. In our assignments, I get to use my expertise, and at the same time learn from skilled colleagues with extensive experience from various fields and industries. And also not to forget- the chance to build a lifelong career.
How does your work challenge you?
I genuinely enjoy my role as a leader because it allows me to connect with people and witness their growth daily. I thrive on working strategically, serving as a motivator to push our team forward in achieving our goals. Every day presents new challenges, which I tackle either independently or collaboratively with others.
One of our core values is “Boldness.” Embracing challenges and seeing them through is a principle I hold close. It’s about daring to push yourself and inspiring others to do the same. Professionally, you can challenge yourself through internal courses, certifications, and by taking on exciting projects with our clients.
How are you working towards the future you want?
Capgemini aims to continue leading in technology consulting and services. They focus on digital transformation, sustainability, and creating value for clients and society. Being able to take part in that journey with being able to have a continuous focus on learning something new and learning from others, the work life balance and that we work as a team regardless of where you are in the organization.
As a team manager, how would you define your style of leadership?
As a manager, I’d emphasize collaboration, empowerment, and growth. Situational leadership is a method of leadership that embraces multiple leadership styles, using context to determine the style that best meets the needs of any given situation.
How do you see Capgemini promoting diversity and inclusivity in its workplace culture?
I enjoy the complexity of everyday life, where multiple challenges arise that require solutions—whether tackled individually or collaboratively as a team, both internally and externally. Our strength lies in including and involving our employees. We foster an inclusive culture where collaboration thrives across all units. Our strategic focus on diversity and inclusivity is not just a goal but a reflection of our workforce and our culture.
