Capgemini deployed an architecture to provide an Oracle Database disaster recovery service to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) as well as application continuity services to Microsoft Azure—leveraging Oracle Data Services for Azure (ODSA) for the complete solution. Critical billing cash flow in the Cloud for Heathrow Airport

Heathrow Airport needed a solution to accept charging data from a range of feeder applications in differing formats and methods relaying details of services provided. Capgemini implemented an innovative solution, using Oracle BRM and Oracle Cloud ERP integrated with a data driven rules engine and controlled via an APEX front end. The session discussed how charge amounts were calculated from a variety of pricing models and then invoices generated and transmitted to the customers, with a configurable, agile and flexible solution that was enabled fully automated processing with use intervention only by exception

Oracle Zero Downtime Migration: Get to the Cloud for a pharma giant

Recently, Capgemini helped a client migrate more than 800 Oracle databases from VMWare clusters around the globe to Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC). Oracle Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM) provided a quick, simplified, and automated solution with no additional cost and without incurring any significant downtime. We discuss the advantages of ZDM over other migration methods. We also cover the benefits of migrating databases to ExaCC, including the ability to manage and control data on-premises while leveraging the power and scalability of the cloud, with the control and security of on-premises infrastructure. Plus, we discuss how it has helped the client achieve significant cost savings and improved performance
