Automation services are back with a bang. Indeed, revenues from automation services grew about 33% in 2021–2022.

HFS Research’s Horizon Report for Automation Service Providers, 2022, groups automation providers into three horizons:

  • Horizon 1 (Disruptor) – highlights automation providers that drive business outcomes, cost reduction, and productivity improvements
  • Horizon 2 (Enterprise Innovation) – includes automation providers that do everything from Horizon 1 in addition to improving customer experience and employee experience
  • Horizon 3 (Market Leader) – encompasses automation providers that do everything from Horizon 1 and 2 while unearthing new sources of value to drive growth and manage risks.

HFS Research has recognized Capgemini as a Horizon 3 Market Leader in the field of automation, due to our ability to deliver the Frictionless Enterprise for our clients “with automation, AI, and analytics at its heart.”

According to HFS Research, Capgemini’s automation strengths are its:

  • Ability to infuse automation across its business from end-to-end by leveraging proven business, technology, consulting, and engineering expertise
  • Frictionless Enterprise concept, which aligns with HFS OneOffice – which fosters a business outcome driven approach that enables information to flow seamlessly and intelligently within its employee, customer, supplier, and partner ecosystems
  • Sustainable framework which leverages Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) to reduce CO2 emissions across manufacturing supply chain, and IT operations
  • Integrated IPA operating model which enables more effective opportunity identification, consistent solution and development practices, and stronger run services support across the board, while also fostering a more curated knowledge repository, and better result-oriented change management processes
  • Differentiated use of automated engineering technologies such as data labelling
  • Enterprise Automation Fabric (EAF), which optimizes cost, enables transformation, and drives business innovation and agility.

Capgemini’s frictionless enterprise concept has been impressing customers with its focus on driving real business outcomes. With automation, AI and analytics at its heart, the capability to drive the seamless and intelligent flow of information across the ecosystem of employees, customers, and partners is very compelling.
