Plenary Session: Fireside Chat on Virtual SOC |15th Nov, 11am – 11:15am CET

Speaker:  Geert van der Linden, EVP and Head of Global Cybersecurity Practice & CISO, Cloud Infrastructure Services, Capgemini

The SOC of the future will likely look very different than the SOC of today. The demands to monitor and protect traditional IT environments, IoT environments in Intelligent Industry, and Operational Technology environments for critical infrastructure will lead to a growing workload on scarce and expensive SOC resources. Additionally, data sovereignty laws may impact where your SOC can respond from. This talk will examine what role a virtual, automated SOC can play in this changing landscape to protect the business, meet compliance, and be cost-effective.

Workshop: 5G Security | 14th Nov, 11:50am – 12:55pm CET

Speaker: Aarthi Krishna, Vice President, Cybersecurity Services, Capgemini

‘The opportunities that we have built around digitalization as we see it today are only a small fraction of what is to come. With the changing landscape around 5G connectivity and how we bring processing power to all devices around us, we will unleash new cyber threats that will put businesses, critical infrastructures, and even human lives at risk. The talk will give a view of such risks and how we at Capgemini are preparing ourselves to address these future challenges.

IDC Connect Table: Security is better in the cloud | 14th Nov, 1:45pm – 3:15pm CET

Speaker: Michael Wasielewski, Global Head of Cloud Security and Next-gen Secure Architectures, Capgemini

Saying security is better in the cloud is sure to provoke a reaction, so you need to prove it. This talk will walk you through how we can show meaningful improvement in overall risk because of the native visibility and automation available in the cloud. Leveraging the NIST Cybersecurity Framework we discuss how long-standing concerns around visibility and incident duration have led us to think a certain way on-premises that we should not carry to the cloud. Instead, we will focus on lifecycle risk to both drive better security outcomes while providing greater velocity to drive business results.

* IDC CISO Summit is free to attend if you work for an end-user organisation* (i.e., you do not supply IT or telecommunications related products or services). End-users are responsible for their organisations’ own internal systems and will not provide services, advice or products to other organisations. Please be aware that IT vendors, consultants, resellers, research companies and service providers, do not qualify for end-user status.

As long as the delegate works for an end user company and based in Europe – (no IT vendors, telecoms companies or consultancy companies) then IDC would cover their hotel and travel costs.
