The Capgemini Smart Shopping Experience with Voice-enabled Digital Assistant is a “cart-less” shopping experience for customers with “human-like” digital assistance to help them navigate inside the store, check product availability, purchase the goods with option to “buy online pick-up in store” or have it home-delivered without waiting in long queues to checkout their cart.
The digital assistant leverages the voice capability and user interface of Google Assistant (or other assistants) and the AI-based chatbot capability of SAP Conversational AI to provide the user with a seamless human-like conversational experience. It tightly integrates with back-office systems to give the product availability insight. The back-office system processes all requests, including product availability, product sales to delivery life cycle, product inventory, and sales service through the digital assistant. The full suite of offerings includes the Google Assistant, SAP Conversational AI, SAP S/4HANA, and the SAP cloud platform.
