Tell me about your career journey and how you ended up at Capgemini.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

My career journey and how I ended up at Capgemini is a bit of a funny story. I actually started at Capgemini as a campus hire back in 2021. I studied at the University of Texas at Dallas \u2014 I majored in mathematics, and originally, I wanted to go into academia. However, I had a mentor at college who suggested that before I go on to grad school, I should gain some industry experience. And that\u2019s what led me to Capgemini. I just fell in love with the people, our clients, and the work \u2014 so I\u2019ve been here ever since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your current role and what does a day-to-day look like for you?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

My main role is in the technology industry as a staffing manager. I manage the end-to-end submission process for all staffing needs coming in. So, a typical day in my role involves a mix of strategic planning and hands-on problem-solving. I spend time analyzing project needs, working closely with leadership and service lines to align talent with our business goals, and ensuring that our people have the right skill sets to succeed. I also collaborate with internal staffing managers from the service lines to address any challenges, balance workloads, and optimize resource allocation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, I\u2019m the president of our OCEAN ERG, which is our sustainability-focused employee resource group here at Capgemini. My day often involves strategizing ways to engage our members, plan impactful events, and collaborate with other internal teams and ERGs to drive community engagement \u2014 which is something very near and dear to my heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No two days at Capgemini are exactly the same for me \u2014 it’s dynamic, and I think that’s what keeps the job so exciting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did you end up joining OCEAN and eventually becoming a leader of the ERG?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Great question! So, OCEAN originally started out as a smaller group \u2014 it wasn\u2019t a formal ERG yet. I was invited to come and give a talk on composting. I actually have my own worm composting bin where I take my food scraps, feed them to the worms, and they create fertilizer, which I then use in my garden. It\u2019s just a very eco-friendly way of recycling food waste and giving back to the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that composting session, the team said, \u201cYou should join us!\u201d \u2014 and that\u2019s how I got started with the sustainability group. From there, that small group blossomed into what is now the OCEAN ERG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
