How do you feel in the morning getting up and going to work at Capgemini?
I would like to start by saying that I love my job … personally, I wouldn’t be able to go to work if I didn’t enjoy what I do. Of course, there are days when you face difficult challenges but to me, those are the opportunities to prove myself and give the best and that it’s very motivating.
What do you love about being Head of Business Services Guatemala Center?
Being responsible for the Guatemala operation demands the best of you. Every day, you may have different challenges that make you stay ahead of the game. I started my work experience and career within the industry from scratch and now, knowing that you can inspire others to accomplish what you have accomplished, or even more is the greatest reward that you can ever get.
How does Capgemini empower you to master your skills as Head of Business Services Guatemala Center?
One of the things that I love about Capgemini is the fact that my opinion has always been taken into consideration and my leaders have always empowered me to take decisions and also taught me how to be responsible for the consequences. I’ve had mentors who have shown me how to overcome challenges and try to always see the big picture.
How does Capgemini help support a sense of purpose in your career?
I started at Capgemini 13 years ago, and during all this time I’ve had the tools, preparation, training, and feedback to be prepared for the next level and responsibilities. Knowing that you have a clear career path in the company makes you give 200% every day.
How does Capgemini give you the autonomy to make decisions?
By providing the environment in ways that allow you to perform at your best. Without trust, autonomy is impossible and knowing that your leaders and your team trust you creates the boundaries to be engaged with what you do all the time.
What do you love about the way of working at Capgemini?
I love having a voice. My boss listens to my ideas and the whole team works together to make them happen. We all support each other and work together to serve our clients and exceed their expectations. We live in a constantly changing world. “Every hour is as diverse as every day,” and that makes it very exciting for me.
How does this all combine for you to have passion for what you do?
I’ve always thought that passion itself is when you find something that will develop you to be a “better you” and within Capgemini, I’ve truly found myself as a professional, as an individual and as part of a global community that gives you a reason to keep learning and to work toward mastery.
What was the most memorable moment in your Capgemini journey?
Ever since I joined Capgemini in Guatemala I wanted to be in charge or our Delivery Center and when I heard that I was being considered for it made me realized that all those years of preparation were not in vain but when I actually got it, made me reinforced the commitment not only towards the company but the responsibility to take care of our people and be a game-changer for our country.
