Required: The ITS Consultant role is dedicated to one of the seven parts of the ITS Framework: IT Strategy, Integration & Governance, Security, Datacenters & Virtualization, Personal Productivity, Network & Infrastructure and Data Management.
An ITS Consultant provides advisory, business case, IT strategy and roadmap, high level architecture, low level architecture and design in all areas of Infrastructure.  The Consultant can develop client propositions and business cases, manage engagements, lead teams, mentor staff, deliver thought leadership and develop services and offers.  An ITS Consultant is a client facing role and involves building client relationships, identifying and developing opportunities, producing bids.  Depending on grade, some or all of these are applicable.  At the more senior grade business develop, consulting and architecture responsibilities increase.  At the more junior grades , the focus is more on subject matter expertise.Achievement to the standard required year on year of relevant KPIs such as utilisation and contribution and knowledge development targets defined at a business unit and personal level.
Desired:�The ITS Consultant is good at elaborating technology areas within Infrastructure Technology & Engineering and has an ability to position them within the scope of an overall project;�They have received training in at least one industry or vendor technology in the Infrastructure Technology & Engineering areas;�ITE Level 1 might be applicable.Behaviour Indicators�Leadership of self – Focus on what is important – Boldness – Say what you do, do what you say;�Leadership of others – Teamwork and collaboration;Adherence to the Company Core Attributes and values.
Responsibilities:�Technical knowledge and skills in the Microsoft Windows domain �Understanding of the different architectural layers (e.g. Network, Storage, Databases, etc.)�Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Containers, LPAR, etc.)�Experience/Exposure to Cloud migrations (i.e. Public, Hybrid, or Private cloud)�Ability to assess the logical setup of AS-IS environment and create a transformation roadmap�Identify and map interdependencies from an application and infrastructure layer�Experience of greenfield data center build projects and well versed with Uptime Institute�s Tier concept and PUE values
�Adhere to standards, procedures, and practices for record keeping of contractual agreements�Identify potential project risks and incorporate risk mitigation strategy and contingency plan�Familiar with ITIL processes�Ensure clients and third parties deliver on their obligations where required
Key skills/experience required for the role:�5+ years of infrastructure architect experience (required)�Infrastructure Transition and/or Data Center Migration project experience is a must�Proven track record of successful project delivery results�Ability to work independently and repeatedly accomplish all work within Project plan�Commercially astute with exceptional written and verbal communication skills�Experience working within both project-centric and project matrix resourcing models�Working knowledge of quality assurance methods, tools, and techniques�Ability to travel in accordance with requirements of assignment/client�Certification strongly preferred (ITIL Foundation V3, IPMA, PRINCE II, as well as relevant technical certifications)
