Duties: Define the architecture, design solutions, & develop test & implementation of Business Intelligence & software applications; provide data analytics services to help clients solve business problems, drive value and insight from information, focusing on the consumption of data; assist in the facilitation and definition of reporting and analytics business requirements; support the definition of Business Intelligence technical architectures; perform dimensional modeling, data modeling and database design across relational databases and distributed data storage systems; plan and develop end to end testing of data flow into various database systems, including test plans, scripts and data sets, based on requirements; conduct business and functional requirements meetings, identify gaps and drive solution discussion; create technical design specification documentation and communicate design, requirements, feature set, functionality, usability and limitations of subsystem; complete estimates and work plans for delivery; decide acceptance criteria, deliver demonstrations and other presentations; provide support throughout Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases; and own and drive UAT including identifying UAT testing groups and business sign off.
Requirements: Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; and two years of work experience in job offered or two years of work experience in a related occupation. Experience must include one year of experience with each of the following:
1)Experience with program, product and project management in the IT consulting industry;
2)Experience developing and presenting on insights from data analysis to stakeholders and senior management;
3)Experience in system implementation projects (e.g. requirements documentation, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution);
4)Working with data engineers, data architects and software engineers to source data sources for business consumption;
5)Conceptual, logical and physical data modeling, database design and development, and data architecture;
6)Data warehousing experience with data modeling tools including ER Studio/Erwin;
7)Experience writing complex SQL statements by creating/modifying database tables, views, stored procedures, packages, cursors, ref cursor and triggers;
8)Manipulating millions of lines of data, creating dashboards/on demand data reports;
9)Performing quantitative analysis;
10)MS SQL Server, DB2, and Oracle;
11)Performing database application server maintenance activities – Clustered & Non-clustered Database Monitoring, Mirrored Cluster, Log Shipping & Replication, Backup and Space Management, Resource Utilization; and
12)Using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, resolving issues/defects with the application using SQL Server Profiler.
Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
