Job Title: Delivery Architect

Job Description:  

Main Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of this role is to be the primary Cloud Architect with an additional concentration in architecting Disaster Recovery, Backup and Storage solutions . The successful applicant will work closely with the customer and project team ensuring a successful migration/transition/transformation to the Capgemini private cloud and/or public cloud.  This role includes ownership of technical and service elements related to the various aspects of the public and private cloud during a Project engagement.  

Key Responsibility:
This specialized Cloud Architect is a client facing role in the project delivery cycle.  The role is responsible for understanding the client’s business needs and clearly translating the Statement of Work to the successful delivery of the Project.  The candidate will be expected to work as part of a delivery team, working alongside overall project manager to deliver a successful cloud consulting engagement.

•    Proven experience in cloud infrastructure architecture and delivery
•    Strong client facing skills and a good listener.  Ability to push a point/right solution to different stakeholders (both technical and non-technical)
•    A strong background in end to end infrastructure technologies and architecture, ideally from more than cloud provider with a key focus on cloud backup technologies as well as DR architecture and storage strategies
•    Able to help deliver Projects for transition and transformation strategies
•    Business acumen to lead customer facing cloud Project engagements
•    Good understanding of latest IT trends, hardware/software, and processes
•    Strong presentation and documentation skills for use with senior stakeholders in external organisations
•    Facilitation of workshops and meetings (where necessary) to deliver Project scope, timelines/milestones and accomplished tasks
•    Must be fully flexible and have the ability to travel to client sites

Preferred:
•    Knowledge of applications management operational model (including ERP); high level architecture and licensing requirements related to delivering on Projects
•    Scripting knowledge  including, but not limited to Cloud APIs, Puppet/chef and Powershell 
•    Documenting and sharing technical best practices and insights with product owners and the architect community
•    Knowledge of monitoring, logging and cost management in a cloud environment

What you bring:
The ability to understand and communicate the following at an executive level both internally and externally:

•    AWS/Azure/Google Architecture experience ideally with the appropriate vendor certification OR dominant in AZURE
•    Understanding of hybrid cloud solutions and experience of integrating public cloud into tradition hosting/delivery models 
•    Demonstrated depth in architecting and delivering cloud backup, DR and storage solutions including, but limited to Veem, Zerto, VMWare SRS and CloudEndure
•    Networking including network security, VLANs, firewalling, etc.
•    Strong understanding of cloud migration techniques 
•    Understanding of application server platforms used in a corporate environment and the hosting requirements these require (ex: Tomcat, Jboss, Websphere) 
•    Understanding to devops and agile
•    Technical solution overview project management, documentation response and oral presentation delivery.
